What is Biblical Financial Stewardship?
Biblical Financial Stewardship is a theological approach to managing your finances. The idea is rooted in a foundational principle. The principle is that all that you own truly belongs to God.
The main idea behind stewardship is that you are overseeing something that doesn’t necessarily belong to you. In the context of biblical stewardship, all that we have is given to us by God. We must ask ourselves, what are we going to do with what God has given us? How can we best honor God through our finances? At Harvest, we believe that the answer is somewhere along the lines of making the most of what we’ve been given. This involves accounting for every dollar and managing it in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Furthermore, we believe that ultimately the measure for this activity is impact on the Kingdom.
